A not-too-happy Australian trade union head has strongly refuted the widespread allegations that unions have made any kind of efforts to criticize the 457 Visa employees even as he elaborated how unions have backed temporary foreign labor force for several years.
Reportedly, the union chief stated that several 457 visa holders keep on putting up with unprincipled recruiters/firms and agents who exploit them. He added that for years now, unions have strongly supported and espoused the cause of the employees of Oz whose right to work &training breaks have been ignored by those recruiters/firms who choose to use the easy alternative of the 457 Permit Scheme.
He elucidated that the union movement takes a great deal of pride in the fact that they have enacted a key role in campaigning on the behalf of all employees negatively influenced by the 457 Plan, adding as part of the discussion surrounding the 457 Visa Scheme, unions over and over again are blamed for being intolerant or using the race card.
He indicated that immigration is a totally an essential part of the thriving Australian story, since migrants have made and continued to make priceless contribution to the nation’s economic, and social, besides cultural life.

He also talked about 100s of 457 Permit holders being poorly paid, or not doing the work they were supposed to be performing with the permit, or both.
