Applicants may submit an Expression of Interest (EOI), and on the basis of their human capital, eligible applicants will be issued a Letter of Advice to Apply (LAA) from the MPNP-B. Once an applicant receives a LAA, he will have 60 days to claim Permanent Residency (PR).

MPNP-B: Key Requirements

To become eligible for the MPNP-B, the applicants should meet with the following requirements:
  • Have have net worth of  CDN $350,000
  • Must agree to make an investment in eligible business in the province. 
  • Must agree to appear for a interpersonal interview with the MPNP-B officer.
  • Should have scored at least 60 points on the Adaptability Assessment Matrix.
  • Must have a clear intention as well as the ability to settle in the province along with the family members. 
  • Must have three years experience of either successfully running a business or managing it within the last five years.
  • In past, must have made an exploratory visit to conduct a research, to prove it the applicant must submit a visit report. 
  • Must be fluent in either English or French. To prove, the applicant must submit language competency test score not more than two years old.
The candidate is required to submit a good faith deposit of CDN $ 100,000 once he is nominated for the MPNP-B. Once the terms and conditions of the Deposit Agreement are meet successfully the good faith deposit will be refunded at zero interest.

However, irrespective of the reason, if the applicant chooses to withdraw his visa application before landing in the country as a PR his good faith deposit will also be refunded.
