What Are The Major Requirements For Canada Express Entry?

Blessed with many factors, the Maple Leaf Country is one of the most developed countries in the world, and with time has won the heart of millions of immigrants and has become a hot immigration destination. Lately, the Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) has introduced an electronic programme; rather a system, i.e., Express Entry, that has gained immense popularity among the prospective immigrants.

Express Entry

It is a complete electronic system. It is one of the quickest and the most transparent systems. It recruits skilled workers to meet the growing demand of labor market and manages the applications under multiple economic programmes such as: Federal Skilled Worker Programme (FSWP), Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP), Canadian Experience Class (CEC), and Certain portion of the Provincial Nominee Programme.

How the programme works?

Prospective immigrants create an online profile, submit an ‘Express of interest’ stating why they wish to come and live in the immigration hotspot. Applicants who fruitfully meet the criteria of any of the economic programmes are placed into the Express Entry Pool and will be raked against each other on the basis of the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). Those with the high score will be issued an ‘invitation to apply’. This means they will have 60 days to claim Canadian PR.

Future aliens with a valid job offer or provincial nomination are likely to score additional 600 points. For those who do not possess either of two may register themselves with the Canada’s ’Job Bank’, it is a platform that connects Canadian employers with the most suitable unemployed skilled workers. Once a suitable match is found Canadian employers can straight away offer them a job.

What are the requirements for Canada Express Entry?

Like many other immigration programmes, Express Entry is not bounded by a list of requirements, and those who dream of immigrating to Canada someday should not hold a criminal background and should not be a threat to the nation in anyway.

What’s more: applicants from the most diverse sectors are welcomed, the system does not have an eligible occupation list, and any number of applications may be accepted until the system is valid. This means Express Entry is cap-free; however, they are required to have an experience of one year in the relevant skilled occupation in the last 10 years.

Applicants are also required to demonstrate their language proficiency in any of the two national languages, i.e. English and French. Candidates may appear for International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or Test d'évaluation du français (TEF), Test de connaissance du français (TCF) and Diplôme d'Études en Langue Française (DELF) for French.

Main objective of the system

I. Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) will pick the applicants who will perform well on the CRS and are likely to lead a successful life in Canada
II. Aspirants will enhance the Canada’s Job Bank
III. The system aims at meeting the growing demand of labor market
IV. To make Express Entry successful, an investment of 14 million dollar has been made for the next two years
