Canada Immigration Ontario Provincial Nominee Program PNP

Ontario PNP is a state based migration initiative and it is managed and run by the authorities of the state in coordination with the Canada Immigration and Citizenship Canada – CIC. This migration scheme has been named Opportunities Ontario and the state government attracts and selects suitable applicants with appropriate expertise and exposure for nomination for the permanent residency of the country. The state after short listing the candidates, issues nomination certificates on basis of which the applicants place their requests for PR visa to CIC.

This eastern province is second largest state of the Ten Canadian states and it happens to be the most populated territory of the country with almost 40% of all inhabitants of the country living here. This state also houses the capital city of the country, i.e. Ottawa, the largest of all the cities in the country. This city besides being most populated and also happens to be the most active economic zone of the country. The capital of the country is widely referred to as the center of Canada’s economic, social, and political life, making it Canada’s most popular landing destination for immigrants from around the world.

Through the Ontario Provincial Nominee Program ‘Opportunities Ontario’ the state government accepts the requests from the applicants’ applications under three immigration classifications, i.e.
  • General class
  • International Students class
  • Investors class
Each of these pathways has been divided into further sub classes. The most popular of all the migration classes is the general class.

What General Class Means

General immigrant class is meant to attract and retain foreign skilled personnel in the state. The government offers nomination for the permanent residence of the country. To obtain endorsement under this class, the employment giving agency and the overseas personnel must submit a request and also substantiate that they meet all the parameters. The parameters include substantiating that
  • The applicant has lived in the territory of the state for a minimum period of two years (24 months)
  • The applicant has worked for a similar period within the last five years (immediately preceding the date of application) in his or her area of specialization, or if the candidate is applying for a position in a regulated occupation in the province, he or she has designated approval in the state. It is also necessary for the applicant to prove whatever work exposure the applicant has accumulated is regular and fully paid as the work done of voluntary basis is not acceptable
  • Besides this, the candidate must also have secured a unconditional and regular employment in a Skilled occupation (NOC levels 0, A, or B) from the employment giving agency that is also submitting a request. The employment should also have necessary approval of the ‘Opportunities Ontario’ scheme and should remain applicable till the time the request for nomination is accepted.
  • In case the candidate is already in employment then the compensation he or she has been receiving should be at par with the minimum stipulated compensation.
The other classes also have specific requirements. The primary aspect that I would like to elaborate here is that schemes like Canada Immigration Ontario Provincial Nominee Program PNP have a good potential for the applicants and the people who find it harder to qualify for federal schemes on basis of age and linguistic skills must consider using this route for entering their desired destination.

The economy of this state is prosperous and holds great promises for the new entrants. The state economy is also highly diversified and offers abundant employment opportunities besides guaranteeing a comfortable life that is not only stable but also prosperous.
